Policy and Ideas

Portrait photograph of Baroness Campbell
Jane Campbell has been developing ideas on disability equality and human rights over the past 3 decades. She wrote a book with Professor Mike Oliver in 1996 Disability Politics which set out their views on disability emancipation in the 20th century. In 2008/9 she updated her views on where the disability movement should be setting its sites over the next decade and delivered her ideas in a speech to Cambridge University called Fighting for a slice, or for a bigger cake? Moving forward from identity politics.

Jane Campbell has also contributed to government policy on public services support and health and social care policy and practice. A selection of her papers can be found here:-
